About the United Church of Christ
The United Church of Christ was created in 1957, a blend of four older denominations that includes the Pilgrims of New England. Progressive in its theology and committed to engagement with the world, the UCC offers an extravagant welcome to all kinds of persons and has long championed the rights of the marginalized in society. Congregations of the United Church of Christ have a great deal of local autonomy, producing variety from church to church. We claim that “God is still speaking,” calling people to listen for Good News from all manner of places. Learn more about the UCC. Additional resources can be found at this link: More about the UCC.
