Here’s what’s ahead at Church of the Redeemer UCC!
Monthly Community Meal Join the volunteers from Church of the Redeemer UCC and Clague Road UCC at a monthly community meal on the fourth Saturday of the month at Clague, 3650 Clague Road in North Olmsted. Help is always appreciated in setting up, serving and cleaning up. Contact either church for more information: Redeemer (or 440-331-0834); Clague (or 440-734-1040).
Aug. 13 Coffee, Tea, and Pastor B, 10:30 a.m.-noon, Blackbird Bakery, Lakewood. Join us for conversation and a cuppa!
Aug. 15 Time for Ice Cream, 7-8 p.m., JMitchell’s Ice Cream, 26161 Detroit Road in Westlake. Join us for this summer tradition. Wear your REDEEMER TEE!
Aug. 18 Worship and Potluck at N.O. Community Cabin, 28114 Lorain Road, N.O. Join us for a relaxed worship service similar to Redeemer’s “Fellowship Hall worship services.” The cabin is located in a beautiful park setting. There is ample parking, including handicapped accessible spots close to the door. Please bring your own table setting, including cup, for the potluck. See you there!
Aug. 20 Weekly Sign Language Classes Begin, Redeemer Fellowship Hall. Youth and adult classes in ASL begin Aug. 20. Taught by BW graduate Cory Svette, founder and director of the Sharon’s Signers community sign language choir. Youth 7-13 meet from 5-6 and will participate in the Sharon’s Youth Signers. Adults 14 and up meet from 7-8:30 p.m. and have the option of participating in the Sharon’s Adult Signers. Classes for each group are $25/month, payable on the first class of each month. Aug. 25 Gen Silent Screening, 12 Noon Plan to attend the screening of the award-winning documentary Gen Silent Aug. 25 following worship. The film and brief discussion will be led by the Rev. Beth Long-Higgins, director of the Ruth Frost Parker Center for Abundant Aging, part of United Church Homes. This critically acclaimed documentary asks six LGBT older adults if they will hide their lives to survive as they transition to senior living and long-term care. 
Sept. 8 Homecoming Sunday at Redeemer UCC,  Join us as we usher in the new church year and celebrate all things Redeemer. Bring a small jar of water from your summer adventures, as we will celebrate the congregation in a special way!
